The categories we use
Strictly necessary
These make the service work. They keep you logged in, remember your workspace, protect against cross-site request forgery, and balance load across our servers. They cannot be switched off, because without them the product does not function. We do not need your consent for these, and we do not use them to track you.
Preferences
These remember choices you have made - your language, your inbox layout, whether you dismissed a banner. Losing them is an annoyance rather than a failure.
Analytics
These tell us which pages are read, where people give up, and which features are used. We use them to improve the product. They run only if you consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Marketing
These measure whether an advertisement led to a signup, and let us show relevant ads on other platforms. They run only if you consent. If you decline, you will still see ads - they will simply be less relevant, and we will know less about what worked.

Third parties

We do not treat a refusal as a reason to degrade the product. Decline analytics and marketing and everything you pay for still works exactly as it did.
Do Not Track
There is still no agreed standard for how sites should respond to Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them. We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it.
Changes
When we add or remove a cookie, we update this policy and, where consent is required, we ask again. The date at the top reflects the current version.
